EasyLife 365 Identity introduces a powerful new feature: Business Owners (Sponsors). App owners can now delegate select responsibilities to trusted users, called sponsors, without granting full ownership rights. This reduces bottlenecks, speeds up operations, and strengthens governance across your Microsoft 365 environment.
What’s new?
Until now, only app owners could perform critical operations like managing credentials, configuring settings, or handling governance tasks. While secure, this approach often limited flexibility and slowed down daily processes.
With the new Business Ownership feature, app owners can add sponsors to each app, each with customizable permissions to support daily operations while keeping full control with the owners.
Sponsors can be authorized to:
- Add, remove, or activate credentials
- Configure app settings (such as disabling notifications)
- Manage governance tasks
- Add or remove other business sponsors Permissions are fully customizable, allowing app owners to tailor sponsor roles based on operational needs.
How will this affect you?
- Shared responsibility with clear accountability: Distribute operational tasks across trusted users while keeping ownership centralized
- Tailored access: Define sponsor permissions in detail to match your team’s structure
- Scalable governance: Sponsors manage daily work so app owners can focus on compliance and strategic direction This feature is available in EasyLife 365 Identity Pro. Check out the plans and pricing.
This update is ideal for teams that need flexibility and clarity, especially in larger or regulated environments where role definition and operational agility are critical.
