Every change an admin makes to an application in EasyLife 365 Identity can now be written to your own Application Insights, and read back from your own Log Analytics workspace, right next to the application it happened on.

What's new?

Audit logging

• A new Audit Logging page under Settings lets you turn on writing: give it an Application Insights connection string and every governed mutation is sent there as it happens. Adding a Log Analytics workspace ID turns on reading, so the same events come back into Cockpit.
• Assigning or removing a policy, adding or removing an owner, adding, rotating or removing a credential, changing the managed classification rule, and exporting an application's configuration are all recorded — who did it, when, and what changed.
• An application's detail panel gains a Logs section that lists its own history, newest first, fetched only while the panel is open and only when logging is turned on.
• Reading uses the same multi-tenant credential Identity already holds for Microsoft Graph — no separate credential to create or maintain.

How these updates will affect you

• Nothing changes until you turn on Audit Logging in Settings; no application is affected until then.
• Once enabled, an application's Logs section shows admin activity without leaving Cockpit or opening the Azure portal.
• Your Application Insights and Log Analytics workspace remain yours — Identity writes to and reads from the connection you provide, and you control retention and access.
