Notifications

To help ensure a timely response to expiring credentials, EasyLife 365 Identity proactively sends alerts as expiration dates approach.

Every Monday, EasyLife 365 Identity conducts a weekly scan to identify upcoming expirations and delivers a single warning per app via Microsoft Teams and/or email. Each notification includes a direct link to the relevant app page, making it quick and easy to review and take action.

You can customize your notification preferences, including Teams alerts, under Notification Settings.

With the Premium plan and higher, you can customize your notification strategy to fit your needs.

Notification strategy

When a secret or certificate is nearing expiration, notifications are sent based on the following priority:

  • Task Assignee: If a specific task exists for the credential, the assigned person receives the notification.
  • App Owner: If no task is assigned, the app owner is notified.
  • Shared Mailbox: If no owner is found, the notification is sent to the designated shared mailbox configured during onboarding.

If Teams notifications are enabled, alerts are sent via Teams by default. However, if the dual notification setting is enabled, both email and Teams notifications are sent before the credential expires. Only one notification per app is sent to avoid excessive alerts.

info

The Freemium plan is limited to default notifications sent to a shared mailbox.
