Three powerful updates are now available in EasyLife 365 Collaboration, giving admins greater control over governance, security, and notifications: Dual Notifications for Reminders, Entra ID Authentication for Webhooks, and the Maximum Owner Policy. These enhancements improve compliance, strengthen security, and streamline collaboration across Microsoft 365.
What's new?
1. Dual Notifications for Reminders
We’ve renamed Progressive Notifications to Dual Notifications and introduced a new setting that allows admins to specify how many notifications should be sent as dual notifications before an escalation occurs. For example, setting this value to 2 ensures the last two reminder notifications are delivered via both Teams and email, while earlier notifications are sent exclusively through Teams.

EasyLife 365 Collaboration – Dual Notifications |
Changes to the current logic: Previously, progressive notifications sent the first notification via Teams, with all subsequent notifications sent through both Teams and email. With Dual Notifications, admins now have more control over when notifications should be considered dual before triggering an escalation. This is a slight change from the previous behavior, where dual notifications were applied immediately after the first notification.
By default, Dual Notifications are set to 1, meaning only the final reminder is sent via both Teams and email. Admins can now adjust this setting to ensure notifications are escalated at the right time, improving the chances of users completing governance tasks on time. If you prefer the previous behavior, where all notifications after the first were dual, simply adjust the setting accordingly.
2. Entra ID Authentication for Webhooks
From the start, EasyLife 365 has supported Webhook integrations, enabling seamless extensions of business processes. Now, with this latest update, we’ve introduced Entra ID authentication for Webhooks—a long-requested feature that enhances security and reliability.
With Entra ID authentication, webhooks are now secured, ensuring that only authorized services can interact with your governance processes. This protects webhook endpoints from unauthorized access while maintaining the flexibility of webhook integrations.
3. Maximum Owner Policy
The Maximum Owner Policy helps organizations maintain control by ensuring that resources do not exceed a specified number of owners. If a resource surpasses the limit, existing owners are notified and prompted to adjust ownership accordingly. This update enhances the policy by automatically including all current owners while removing those with disabled accounts. If the limit is exceeded, a random selection of owners is retained, while others are demoted to members—ensuring that ownership remains within a defined set of users for better accountability.
Now you can:
- Define a maximum owner limit for Groups, Teams, and SharePoint sites.
- Automatically notify owners when a resource exceeds the set limit.
- Configure reminder notifications and escalation actions for non-compliance.
How these updates will affect you?
- Improved governance: With Dual Notifications, you increase the chances of users completing governance activities on time and can customize the notification process to match your organization’s needs.
- Stronger security for integrations: Entra ID authentication for Webhooks ensures secure and seamless integrations by aligning authentication with security policies and protecting webhook endpoints from unauthorized access.
- Automated compliance & accountability: The Maximum Owner Policy helps prevent excessive ownership, enforces clear accountability, and allows admins to configure policies that match their organization’s governance needs.
