Understanding Alias Generation in EasyLife 365 Collaboration
When creating a new Group or Team, the EasyLife 365 Collaboration Engine constructs an alias which serves as the mail nickname and forms part of the SharePoint site's URL. Here's how the alias is determined:
If the option to allow users to choose a mail nickname is disabled in the template:
{input}
represents the user-specified Name
If the option to allow users to choose a mail nickname is enabled in the template:
{input}
represents the user-specified Alias
Additionally, a naming convention can influence this process. When a naming convention is enforced, the {input}
variable must be utilized. Otherwise, user input is disregarded, and the alias is formed solely based on the naming convention.
- No naming convention:
{input}
equals Name - No naming convention with mail nickname:
{input}
equals Alias - Naming convention: Alias is derived from the naming convention.
Emoji Usage in EasyLife 365 Collaboration 👍
Yes, you can include emoji in EasyLife 365 Collaboration! ✨
On Windows 10, utilize the Win
+ .
shortcut to access emoji characters. On macOS, use CTRL
+ CMD
+ Space
for the same functionality.
While EasyLife allows emoji insertion through these keyboard shortcuts, please note that they are only supported in the DisplayName
property of a new group or in the names of Teams channels. Including emoji characters in naming convention for provisioning options will result in failure.
Approval Workflows for Teams Creation in EasyLife 365
Absolutely! EasyLife supports approval workflows for all resources. You can create approval templates and associate them with any other template in the EasyLife 365 Admin. When a user requests a resource using a template that mandates approval, EasyLife prompts the designated actors defined in the approval template for approval before provisioning the resource.
