Assigning Exchange Roles in Microsoft Entra

To perform governance activities in your environment, the EasyLife 365 Mail application requires Recipient Administrator permissions. While you initially granted permissions during onboarding, additional permissions must now be explicitly assigned to the EasyLife 365 Mail service principal.

Ensure you have previously consented to the EasyLife 365 Mail application and have a Global Admin account to complete these steps.

  1. In the Azure portal, navigate to Roles and administrators.

  2. Search for the Exchange Recipient Administrator role that you need to assign to the application.

  3. Click on the role name in the list to open the Assignments screen.

  4. On the Assignments screen, select Add assignments.

  5. In the Search box, type EasyLife 365 Mail. Select the EasyLife 365 Mail enterprise application from the list of suggestions and click Add.

After completing these steps, the permissions should be correctly assigned, and you can proceed with other tasks.
